David Seyller wrote a sympathy message

“Although I hadn't seen or spoken with Doug for many years, he was a good friend in our high school days. He moved to Aurora, Illinois, in 1957, where Caterpillar Tractor Company employed his father. We lived across the street. He and his family were good neighbors. My wife, Bonnie, and I are grateful Doug was a part of our wedding. I know he was a man of faith who believed, "God, not death, always has the last word." Rev. David and Bonnie Seyller, Crystal Lake, IL”
