She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Caporaso and Frank Caporaso. She is survived by: her husband Richard Kauffunger; her children, Christine Bula (Geoff) of Apex, NC, Elizabeth Patterson (Mike) of Charlottesville, VA, Charlie Kauffunger (Nancy) of Potomac, MD and Julia Kauffunger of Bethesda, MD; her grandchildren, Katy Frazer (Drew), Dan Bula (Betsy), Mariel Van Houten (Matt), Andersen (Emily), Will, CJ and Rosie Kauffunger; her great grandchildren, Emerson, Logan, Emory, Jack and Samuel; and her brother James Caporaso (Barbara) of Westbury, NY..
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Pumphrey Funeral Home (300 W Montgomery Ave, Rockville, MD 20850). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the St. Matthew's Presbyterian Church (4001 Bel Pre Rd, Silver Spring, MD 20906).
