With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Frederick W Schenkel in Silver Spring, Maryland, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 31, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick A. Schenkel and Luise K. Schenkel. He is survived by: his wife Concetta F. Schenkel; his children, Deborah Johnson (Jerold), Lisa Reardon (Martin) and Jeffrey Schenkel (Carol); his grandchildren, Kevin, Kirsten, Julie, Mark and Tierney; and his great grandchildren, William, Walker, Jace, Caden and Moses.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Church of the Resurrection (3110 Gracefield Rd, Silver Spring, MD 20904). A reception will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 2:15 PM to 4:15 PM at the Maryland Hall in the Montgomery Station Building (3120 Gracefield Rd, Silver Spring, MD 20904).
