We are sad to announce that on October 1, 2025, at the age of 70, Gregory Richard Puorro in Silver Spring, Maryland, born in Somerville, Massachusetts passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Gregory leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Gregory may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Puorro and Jeanette Puorro. He is survived by: his caregiver Pia Luab; and his siblings, Thomas Puorro Jr., Rosemary Ryan (Puorro), Mark Puorro, Jane Bailey (Puorro), Richard Puorro and Suzanne Golden-Riley (Puorro).
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lima & Campagna Sunnyvale Mortuary (1315 Hollenbeck Ave, Sunnyvale, CA 94087). A burial will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery (22555 Cristo Rey Dr, Los Altos, CA 94024).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Greg's memory to The Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation, a non-profit organization for spinal cord injury research. Keep Gregory's legacy alive by donating to a charity in need.
