She is survived by: her husband Berhe Asgedom; her children, Wintana Harness (Sherman), Hanna Asgedom (Yonas Fissehaye), Melat Melendez (Miguel), Abib Asgedom (Stephanie), Danait Asgedom and Bana Asgedom (Yordanos); her grandchildren, Eden Harness, Evan Harness and Gabriella Asgedom; and her siblings, Abeba, Yohanes, Zaid, Tekle, Tesfalidet and Aaron Negash. She is also survived by many loving cousins, nieces and nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
