It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jacob Julius Cohen in Silver Spring, Maryland, who passed away on February 9, 2026, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lillie Cohen (Epstein) and Joe Cohen; and his spouse Kay. He is survived by: his siblings, Paul, Renee and Arlene; his former wife Carole; his sons, David Makogon (Sandy) and Jon Cohen (Kristin); his brother Lou Cohen; and his grandchildren, Michael (Vanessa), Alex, Brianna Makogon and Sam Cohen. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Wounded Warrior Project, a charity that was very close to Jack's heart as he was a proud veteran of the US Air Force.
