In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Jean had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Jean may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Emily Bryant Jones and William Jones; her former husband Foster L. Tufts; her husband John L. Burdette; and her children, Kathleen M. Tufts Lawhorne, Stephen C. Tufts and Jeffery A. Tufts.
She is survived by: her children, Douglas E. Tufts and Emily Dunn; her brother Harry Jones; and her grandson John Edwards II. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations are welcomed and may be made directly to her son, Douglas E. Tufts.
