With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Karen Selss in Silver Spring, Maryland, born in Washington, District of Columbia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Karen left this world on January 4, 2026 at the age of 68, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

Though Karen may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.

She is survived by: her husband Dr. Ira Selss; her children, Michael Selss and Melissa Selss; her son-in-law Pavlos Karalis; and her siblings, Larry Shor and Mindy Shor.
