Margaret (Jones) A. Dix Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Margaret (Jones) A. Dix (Silver Spring, Maryland), who passed away on June 2, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Edgar and Annie Jones; and her brother Jimmy (Jan). She is survived by: her significant other Michael W.; her children, Anne, William and Robert; her granddaughters, Katy and Eloisa Rose; and her siblings, William (Sue), Heather (John), Percy (June Rose) and Don (Joan).
She later served as Director of the Biology Department from 1977 to 2002, and continued as an Emeritus Professor, working with UVG's highland campus until COVID, contributing actively to research on Lake Atitlan and mentoring young people.
