He is survived by: his children, Maria C. DiMarzio (Sam Gompers), John A. DiMarzio (Peggy DiMarzio) and Lisa A. DiMarzio (Kevin O'Keefe); his grandchildren, Violet, Anna, Jake, Jimmy, Mark, Elizabeth and John; and his great grandchildren, Cormac, Reagan, Blake and Cecelia.
Ed was a National Science Foundation Fellow (1955), was awarded the High Polymer Physics Prize of the American Physical Society (1967) and the Stratton Award (1971) and was listed in Who's Who in America (2004).
