With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Rita G. Acker of Silver Spring, Maryland, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 27, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Bob Acker; her daughter Patty; her parents, Anna Kavka Giddo (John Giddo) and Rita; and her grandparents, Zack, Jacob, Jackson and Olivia.
She is survived by: her children, Amy Kearse (Brad) and Mike Acker (Maria); her grandchildren, Zack, Jacob, Jackson and Olivia; her goddaughter Karen Carbone; her great-niece Dallan; her great-nephew Kace; and her sister Jo (Jo's). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
