With sadness, we share the passing of Sylvia Broadhurst Creel in Silver Spring, Maryland. Sylvia passed away on September 17, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Millard L Broadhurst and Blanche I Broadhurst (Himelright); her husband John "Jack" Bradley Creel; her siblings, Nedra M Broadhurst Huestis and Paul Woodrow Broadhurst; her daughter-in-law Debra J Dispenza Creel; and her granddaughter Gina P Creel.
She is survived by: her children, John B Creel, Jr. and Therese I Creel (George Levis); her granddaughters, Carolyn Creel (Pete Tzamaras), Melissa Roque (Anthony) and Sara Brickman (Natalie Castillo Mueller); and her great grandchildren, Mason, Madison, Brooklyn Roque, Eleanor and Peter Brickman Castillo.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (12319 New Hampshire Ave, Silver Spring, MD 20904).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor, Washington, DC.
