William Timothy Murphy Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of William Timothy Murphy of Silver Spring, Maryland, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 3, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Timothy Murphy and Margaret Murphy of Long Island, NY; his wife Joan Murphy; and his son Daniel Murphy. He is survived by: his children, Kevin Murphy (Karen) of Ellicott City, Donna Seko (Gregg) of Concrete, WA, Maureen Murphy of Manchester, NH, Michael Murphy (Rachel) of Intervale, NH and Megan Powers of Newport, WA.. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Monday, November 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Andrew Apostle Church (11600 Kemp Mill Rd, Silver Spring, MD 20902). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery (13801 Georgia Ave, Silver Spring, MD 20906).
