He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace F. Whelan and Alice K. Whelan; his brother Timothy Whelan; and his brother-in-law Tim Durkin. He is survived by: his wife Debra Bond Whelan; his sisters, Pat Whelan, Mary Chew (Bill) and Christine Kindschuh (Jeff); and his sister-in-law Barbara Biancone. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and dear lifelong friends.
