He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Schminkey and Amelia Schminkey (Saboy); his son Douglas B. Schminkey; his brothers, Maurice "Mark" Stewart and Kenneth Fultz; and his stepgreat-grandson Ryett Jones.
He is survived by: his wife Lynda L. Schminkey (Webb); his son Eric Schminkey; his stepchildren, Richard Hopkins, Kari Carbaugh, Keli Hoffman and Kami Hoffman; his sibling Jan Fultz; his stepgrandchildren, Douglas, Ryan, Brittney, Codey, Casey, Krystal, Zachery, Alexis, Eric and Faith; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Ivy, Logan, Madalyn and Kane.
