It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Beatrice Hessong of Smithsburg, Maryland, born in Hagerstown, Maryland, who passed away on October 7, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Beatrice may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Beatrice leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Merle Myers and Evelyn Myers (Itnyre); and her sister Nancy Myers. She is survived by: her husband Paul Ezra Hessong of Smithsburg Maryland; her children, Tammy McLean of Smithsburg Maryland and Gary Wayne Hessong of Frederick Maryland; her grandchildren, Erin Lee Hessong of Frederick Maryland, Ryan Paul Hessong of Bradenton Florida and Reese McLean of Smithsburg Maryland; and her sister Jean Spangler of Fayetteville Pennsylvania.
