We are sad to announce that, on May 20, 2026, at the age of 97, Carol Winders of Smithsburg, Maryland, born in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Billie E. Winders; her parents, William F. Haugh and Margie B. Haugh; and her siblings, Glen F. Haugh, Richard B. Haugh and Jean B. Angle.
She is survived by: her siblings, LaRue McKenzie and W. Lanny Haugh; her children, Kim Winders and Kirk Winders (Ann Low); her grandchildren, Toby Long (Robert Higgs), Zachary Long, Kirklyn Winders (Lindsey Winders) and Brielle Getridge (Austin Getridge); and her great grandchildren, Tiernen, Gracen White, Bexley, Braelyn Getridge and Haisley Winders. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in honor of Carol J.H. Winders to Trinity Lutheran Church or Beards Lutheran Church.
