With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gregory Hartle (Smithsburg, Maryland), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 24, 2026 at the age of 70. Though Gregory may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Gregory touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Hartle and Shirley Hartle; and his sister Cheryl Hartle Hoover. He is survived by: his sisters, Kathy Cosens of Hagerstown and Penny Stanley of Clear Spring, MD; and his son Michael Hartle of Hagerstown. He is also survived by Two Grandchildren, and 1 Great Grandson; and 4 Nieces.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 1st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Jl Davis Funeral Home (12525 Bradbury Ave, Smithsburg, MD 21783).
