It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Harryette Ellen Martin of Smithsburg, Maryland, who passed away on July 29, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid Harryette Ellen farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Harryette Ellen is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford Ellsworth Eardley and Barbara Elizabeth Eardley (Bock); and her son Brian Scott Martin. She is survived by: her son Steven Michael Martin; her grandchildren, Sage Maddox Martin and Bailey Ziler; and her sisters, Cathy Virata and Susan Craig.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Rest Haven Funeral Home (1601 Pennsylvania Ave, Hagerstown, MD 21742). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
