He was predeceased by: his parents, James Hierstetter and Elsie Hierstetter (Tippett); and his wife Helen Jean Hierstetter. He is survived by: his daughter Kristine A. McDonald (Bryan) of Mercersburg, PA; his grandson Zachary McDonald of Los Angeles, CA; his brother-in-law William Werking (Muriel) of Port Tobacco, MD; and his niece Susan Riley of Jerrettsville, MD. He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
