She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles L. Leatherman and J. Page Leatherman (Morgan); her husband Floyd C. Spade; her son Marion B. Spade; and her siblings, Carroll Charles, Paul Cecil Leatherman, Esther Ruth Grossnickle, Miriam Rae Buhrman and Martha Grace Spangler.
She is survived by: her sons, Alan (Tina), Kevin (Sara), Lonnie (Cheryl) and Les (Deb); her daughter-in-law Michaelann Spade; her grandchildren, Doug Spade, Melissa Cristler, Kristen Chen, Chelsea Spade, Nick Spade, Carrie Dedrick and David Flook; and her great grandchildren, Deegan, Driver Spade, Charlotte Cristler, Kaitlinh, Kiefer Chen, Destiny, Wyatt Koonin-Spade, Emmanuella, Gabriel, Shepherd and Judah Dedrick. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Jl Davis Funeral Home (12525 Bradbury Ave, Smithsburg, MD 21783). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mark's Lutheran Church (12704 Wolfsville Rd, Smithsburg, MD 21783).
