With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Carter Jr. of Snow Hill, Maryland, born in Baltimore, Maryland, who passed away on May 27, 2023 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Carter, Sr. and Phyllis Carter; his former wife Judy Hudson Carter; and his brother-in-law Charles Fields. He is survived by: his wife Janet Bounds Carter; his children, Richard Willis Carter (Kimberly) of Glen Burnie, MD and Tammie Eyler (Wes) of Hanover, PA; his stepdaughter Jennifer Smullen (Todd) of Parsonsburg, MD; his grandchildren, Lexi Shea, Kristen Reynolds, Mikaela Taylor, Gracie Perry, Matt Myers, Chris Shea and Joey Engen; and his sister Christie Fields. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nick's memory to Spence Baptist Church, 4824 Paw Paw Creek Road, Snow Hill MD 21863 or The Snow Hill Ecumenical Food Pantry, 241 Washington Street, Snow Hill, MD 21863.
