He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Lester Dove and Melissa Ruth Dove (Harwood); his siblings, Mary Faulkner, Linda Leonard and Earl Dove; and his siblings-in-law, John Faulkner, Warren Landon and Linda Dove.
He is survived by: his wife Debra Dove; his daughters, Tamara Cofer (Pete) of Solomons and Kerri Bennett (Brad) of Broomes Island, Maryland; his grandsons, Matthew McKenzie (Kiki Hall), Luke Cofer and Liam Bennett; his siblings, Joann Landon of Bristol, Tennessee, Charlie Dove of Kingsport, Tennessee, Martha Kelly (Charles) of Oceanside, California and Jack Dove (Vickie) of Abingdon, Virginia; and his brothers-in-law, Rex Leonard and Michael "Bo" Vaughn. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 at the Broomes Island Community Church (8520 Church Rd, Port Republic, MD 20615).
