He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett William, Sr. and Grace Harris (Baker); his former wife Mary Robey Harris; his siblings, Vivian, William and Thomas; Carl Bevard, Sr..
He is survived by: his family Joe; his wife Linda Mary Harris; and his children, Mary Jo Bevard (Bruce, Sr.) of Huntingtown, Vicki Ball (Brian) of Huntingtown, Janet Lumpkins (Sharon) of Manassas, VA, Kathy Bevard of Accokeek and Joseph Harris, Jr. of Chesapeake Beach. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews from his siblings.
Joe was also an active volunteer with the Red Cross, donating blood every three months from 1950 until he turned 90.
