In loving memory of Rita Alexander of Stevensville, Maryland, who departed this world on September 14, 2025 at the age of 66. Rita leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Iole Carmelina Smiroldo and Giuseppe Smiroldo; her grandfather Giuseppe Zizzo; and her aunt Concettina Santoro. She is survived by: her husband Robert Alexander; her children, Michelle Waters and Joseph Waters; her stepdaughters, Roberta Alexander and Jody Alexander; her sister Lucia Ferrante (Rick); her niece Lexie Steele; her brother Franco Smiroldo; her cousins, Lucia Santoro, Pietro Santoro, Ricardo Santoro (Becky) and Giovanni Santoro (Heather); Giuliana. She is also survived by children and grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory (2973 Solomons Island Rd, Edgewater, MD 21037). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Lakemont Memorial Gardens Cemetery (900 W Central Ave, Davidsonville, MD 21035). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Killarney House (584 W Central Ave, Davidsonville, MD 21035).
