He was predeceased by : his parents, Gertrude Cawthorn and Samuel Cawthorn. He is survived by : his wife Elder Arthurmae Carthorne; his children, Gerald, Ricky, Jr., Victor, Mark and Tracie; his grandchildren, Latoyia, Carl, Danielle, Rynequa', Darius, Ashley, Asia, Tristina, Joseph, Greyson and Tracie, Jr.; his brother Nathaniel Carthorn; his children-in-law, Gregory Coulter and Tina Carthorne; and his brother-in-law Donnie Jackson.
