He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry L. Smith and Mildred Hodge Smith; his siblings, Harold Lee Smith, Richard Lockwood Smith and Mary Phyllis Smith; and his nephew Gregory Harris Smith.

He is survived by: his siblings, James Louis Smith (Apostle Belle Smith), Marvin Lester Smith (Evangelist Daisy Smith) and Evangelist Carol Moses. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contribrution be made to the American Red Cross.
