He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond T. Scheufele and Margaret P. Scheufele; his siblings, Mary J. Poist, Pearl A. Cutcher, Darlene Papale, Raymond, Jr., Joseph R., George P., Charles A., Albert F., William R. and Richard A. Scheufele; his stepson John B. Yelton; and his stepgranddaughter Malissa Duvall.

He is survived by: his wife Susan A. Scheufele; and his stepchildren, Paul M. Haines of Westminster, MD, Lawrence D. Haines of Boulder City, NV, Philip G. Haines of Big Pool, MD., Ann M. Levering of Miami, FL, Laura S. Prybylski of Middle River, MD and Michele E. Weih of Pasadena, MD.. He is also survived by 9 Step-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends.
