Edward Wayne Long Obituary

We bid farewell to Edward Wayne Long of Sykesville, Maryland, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 31, 2025 at the age of 85. Edward touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Edward leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Drexel Long and Annie Louise Hunley Long. He is survived by: his wife Demetra Long; his daughters, Helene Clepper and Katherine Louise Schappell (Jerry); and his sisters, Mary Jane Colson (Bob) and Linda June Koudelka. He is also survived by five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
