He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Bowen and Maude Porter; and his siblings, Richard Bowen, Howard Bowen and Helen Edmondson.

He is survived by: his wife Norma Bowen; and his children, Ken Bowen, Sr. (Sue), Rita Chaney (Howard), Carleton Bowen (Beth) and Lynnette Bowen. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Salem United Methodist Church Hebbville 7509 Windsor Mill Rd, Windsor Mill, MD 21244.
