It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Edwin Doherty Sr. (Sykesville, Maryland), born in New Haven, Connecticut, who passed away on October 7, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Bernice; his parents, William Michael Doherty and Alice Long Doherty; and his sister Joyce Dickess. He is survived by: his children, Denise Johnson (Kenith 'Speedy') of Sykesville, MD, William'Bill'Doherty (Ann) of Finksburg, MD, Laurette O'Keefe (James 'Jim') of Eldersburg and Cecille Wallace (Keith) of Westminster, MD.; his grandchildren, Emilie Fredrick (Steve), Abigail Johnson (Mike Schofield), Shannon Spoler, James O'Keefe Jr. (Chelsea Henery), Laci Doherty (Jake Goldizen), Sean Wallace (Astrid), William Wallace, Aidan Wallace and Bridget Wallace; and his great grandchildren, Jackson Shipley, Oscar, Howard Fredrick, Aria and Stella Wallace. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
