She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Meekins, and Madeline Meekins, Sr. (Wood); her son James R. Russell, Jr.; and her sister Pearl Meekins Walther. She is survived by: her husband James A. Selby; her daughter Sheri D.; her son-in-law Gregory Stevens of Garland, TX; her brother Clarence Meekins, Jr.; and her grandson Gregory B. Stevens, II.
