He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ralph Loy and Mary Loy (Haifleigh) of Taneytown; his wife Tammy D. Loy (Caple); his pets, Chelsea, Brownie and Jetta; his children, John (Felicia) of Taneytown, James of Princeton, NJ, Molly of Taneytown, Joe of Boulder, CO and Helen of Taneytown; his grandson Josiah; his sister Patti of Taneytown; his mother-in-law Donna Caple of Westminster; his sisters-in-law, Jenny Fritzsche (Bill) of Costa Mesa, CA and Tonna (Michael Arbaugh) of Westminster; his nephews, Adam, Ben, Bradley (Lauren) and Brandon; and his niece Maddie.
