He was predeceased by: his parents, J. Paul Brauning and Emma V. Brauning (Green); his son Eric A. Brauning; his brother John P. Brauning; and his siblings-in-law, MarySue Brauning, Richard N. Poole and Charles Cross.
He is survived by: his spouse Shirley R. Brauning (Reaver); his sons, Eugene Brauning and Bradley Brauning (Diane); his daughter-in-law Tinia Brauning; his stepchildren, Beverly Anthony (Stephen), Tina Golling (Richard) and Kimberly Kurtz (Bill); his siblings, Delbert E. Brauning, Margaret Brauning (Don Lucas), Paula Cross and Karen Chronister (Lee); and his close friend Mary Blum.
