We announce the death of George Francis Gesell of Taneytown, Maryland, who passed away on September 27, 2026, at the age of 77. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Francis and Margaret Gesell; his wife Barbara Gesell; and his sister Edna Haines. He is survived by: his children, Suzanne Gesell (Roger) of Westminster, Lawrence Gesell (Belinda) of Taneytown and Michael Gesell (Traci) of Spring Hill, Tennessee; his stepson Adam Hobbs of Frederick, Maryland; his grandchildren, Megan Kohls (Jess) of Lineboro, Clayton Dell (Emily) of Manchester, Jordan Gesell (Nicholas Howorth) of Keyamr, Hanna Petrucci (Alex) of Glen Rock, Ryan Wheler (Erin) of Hanover, Conner Gesell (Andrea) of New Bloomfield and Andrew Gesell of Mesa Arizona; his great grandchildren, Ryleigh, Aria-Rain, Leighton, Nash, Nate and Tatum; and his siblings, Carroll Gesell, Ada Nuckles and Ray Gesell.
