She is survived by: her husband Richard L. Smit; her sons, Chuck (Cynthia) of Edmonton, Michael (Frances) of Atlanta, GA and Steve (Marci) of Mt. Airy, MD; her grandchildren, Zack, Sami, Audrey, Rachel, Ava and Ian; and her brother Cecil.
