He was predeceased by: his parents, Gaines Hensley and Alpha Hensley; his wife Patricia "Clara" Hensley; his siblings, Betty Mumpower (Luke), Paul Greene (Joyce), Carroll Hensley and John Hensley (Wilhelmina); and his nephew Jeffrey Hensley.
He is survived by: his children, Tony A. Hensley (Donna) of Upper Marlboro, MD, Lisa D. Hensley-Yesbek of Temple Hills, MD and Tammy R. Richards (Mike) of Clements, MD; his sister Judy Harper (Tootie) of Hiltons, VA; his grandchildren, Nicholas Hensley-Yesbek, Jessica Hensley (Lindsey), Kristin Amato (Colin), Dylan and Haley Richards; and his great grandchildren, Parker and Ellie Amato. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Shriner's Children's Hospital or Disabled American Veterans.
