She was predeceased by: her parents, Margaret Reid-Frost (Jake Frost) and Alvin Black, Jr.; her grandparents, Bertha Holmes Black and Alvin Black Sr.; and her husband David Leroy Meadows.
She is survived by: her children, Vanieta Black-Thomas, Charnel Meadows-Carter, Felicia R Meadows, Duane F. Meadows (Laynetta) and Michael Coleman (Patricia); her siblings, Norma Jean Black and Novell Black; and her grandchildren, Clarence "CJ" Carter (Falon), Nathan Carter (Kierra), Janea Carter, Charles Davis, Lauren Davis, Noelle Peterson (Kelvin), Duane Williams, Korie Williams, Elisha Meadows and Niya Cook.
