He was predeceased by: his brother Shorme Cecil Lanford (Tig). He is survived by: his wife Anita; his children, Anasha and Ahmad; his grandson Amare; his siblings, Jimma (Sears), Nadine (late John) and James (Marlene); and his siblings-in-law, Rosalind (late Henry), Jacqueline (late Sherome), Marlene (James), Valerie, Wanda, Keith and Tony. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Strickland Funeral Services (6500 Allentown Rd, Temple Hills, MD 20748).
