Bonnie Wastler Nikirk Obituary

We announce the death of Bonnie Wastler Nikirk of Thurmont, Maryland, who passed away on May 30, 2026, at the age of 94. Bonnie will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Morris Wastler and Carrie Tressler Wastler; her spouse Glenn Nikirk; her sisters, Phyllis Martin and Lois Wastler; her brothers-in-law, Richard Wastler and Herb Martin; and her pet Stella.

She is survived by: her siblings, Edith Wastler of Hilton Head, SC and Wayne Wastler (Carolyn) of Thurmont; her cousin Beverly Mapp; and her close friends, Ruby Storer of Thurmont and Carolyn Lewis of Emmitsburg. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and great nieces.

Memorial donations may be made to Frederick Health Hospice, Frederick County Humane Society or Garfield United Methodist Church.
