We are sad to announce that, on March 5, 2026, at the age of 96, Catherine Lorraine Atkins of Thurmont, Maryland passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde N. Stitely and Harriett Ruth Spalding Stitely; her son Steven Atkins; her siblings, Norman (Agnes), James (Minna), Robert (Irene), Bill Stitely, Mary Louise Fraley (Harold), Lois Riffle (Joe) and Beatrice Bentz (Charles); and her brothers-in-law, Robert Pee Wee Unger and Pat Miller.

She is survived by: her grandchildren, Chad Atkins (Ashley) and Danielle Barber (Jeff); her great grandchildren, Chase Atkins and Norah Atkins; and her sister Ruth Ann Miller. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Thurmont United Methodist Church, 13880 Long Rd. Thurmont, MD 21788.
