It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Debra Josie Howell Cochran of Thurmont, Maryland, born in Memphis, Tennessee, who passed away on October 22, 2025, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Jim; and her parents, Ethel Mitchell and Joe Howell, Sr.. She is survived by: her son Wesly Cochran (Beth Krause); her granddaughter Calliope; her daughter Wendy MacMaster (Greg); her grandson James; and her siblings, Pat Alexander (Henry) and Joe Howell (Maria). She is also survived by four nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Friday, October 31st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Stauffer Funeral Home (104 E Main St, Thurmont, MD 21788). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Weller United Methodist Church (101 N Altamont Ave, Thurmont, MD 21788).
