Family, friends, and acquaintances remember Ethel for her warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. She was predeceased by: her parents, Erma Ethel Ensor Hann and Paul Wilson Hann; her husband Guy Whisner; and her sister Betty Miller. She is survived by: her daughter Sally Hoague of New Market, Maryland; her daughter-in-law Samantha Hoague of New Market, Maryland; her granddaughter Abigail Hoague of Frederick; her great grandchild Sarah Hoague of Frederick; and her son Guy David Whisner. She is also survived by her family, friends.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Paul's Evangelical Luther Church (10621 Old Frederick Rd, Thurmont, MD 21788).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to the Frederick County Animal Shelter, an organization close to Ethel's heart.
