He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerry E. Wood and Katherine T. Wood (Strobel); and his sisters, Judy, Dorris, Jean, Linda, Lillian and Mary Alice.
He is survived by: his children, Cindy Grimes (John) of Rocky Ridge, Maryland, Judy Cochran of Thurmont, Maryland and Freddy Wood, Jr. (Gina) of South Carolina. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
