He was predeceased by: his parents, Sterling Bollinger and Linda Bollinger; his sisters, Lee Bryan and Alice; and his brother-in-law Lee Martin.
He is survived by: his children, Gene Bollinger (Colleen), Matthew Bollinger, George Bollinger (Monica) and Dana Bowman (Matt); his grandchildren, Angel White, Jacob Bollinger, Emma Gomez (Moises), Steven Bollinger, Madison Baker (Spencer), Peyton Bollinger, JD Bowman and Elijah Bowman; his great grandchildren, Clara Gomez and Magnus White; his siblings, Maggie Doll (John), Katrinka Martin, Paula Gills (John), David Bollinger (Shelba), Joe Bollinger (Lara), Mary Sweeney (Hal) and Sam Bollinger (Jodi); and his brother-in-law Carl Bryan. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Stauffer Funeral Home (104 E Main St, Thurmont, MD 21788). A celebration of life was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Saint Anthony Shrine Parish (16150 St Anthony Rd, Emmitsburg, MD 21727).
