She was predeceased by: her parents, Amos Orr and Bessie Barrett Orr; her husband Rev. Arnold Gooden; and her siblings, Evelyn, Thelma, Annabelle, Peggy, John and Wendell.
She is survived by: her children, Tisha Gooden of Thurmont, MD and Michael Gooden of Inwood, WV; her grandchildren, Brandon, Blake and Brooklyn; and her great grandchildren, Leo, Lana, Kash and Kamden.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Brown Funeral Home (327 W King St, Martinsburg, WV 25402). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to Harbor Light Temple, (also known as Faith Church of God) at 537 Hood St. Chambersburg, PA 17201, Arrangements are entrusted to Brown Funeral Home.
