He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel T. McQuay and Irma Harrison McQuay; and his nephew David Mora. He is survived by: his wife Helen Cummings McQuay; his children, Vicki Pierce (Rob), Jessica McQuay and David McQuay (Patti); his granddaughter Rylie Pierce; his sister Lynda Mora (Pedro); and his nieces and nephews, Lynda Thibodaux (Ryan), Rebecca Ball, Daniel Mora (Heather) and Billy Ball (Eve).
