She was predeceased by: her husband Wayne D. "Buster" Wright; her daughter Donna E. Hungerford; and her sisters, Joan Banister and Shirley Royston. She is survived by: her daughter Deborah J. McKearney (Thomas); her grandchild Sydney Hungerford; her brother Edward Royston, Jr. (Belinda); and her nieces and nephews, Thomas Banister, Jr., Kevin Banister, Brian Banister and Christopher Royston.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made in Dot's name to Frames Memorial United Methodist Church, 14200 Mount Ave Phoenix, Maryland, 21131 to honor her years of service to others.

“To Debbie, her daughter, I was deeply saddened to hear from Jane of Dot's passing. What a shock since she always seem to be in perfect health. My earliest remembrance of Dot was when I came to serve Frames Memorial church as her pastor.. at the time Dot walked everywhere including to your home. One Sunday I asked her if she could run. Of course, she said and off she went toward her house from the church. She was so meticulous with the food pantry. In that she was a blessing.. Jan L”
