She was predeceased by: her husband Edward Sappington, Jr.; her parents, Clarence Rush and Helen Rush; her sisters, Nancy Catherine Macek and Diane Pargament; and her nephews, Scott Scharper and Michael Macek.
She is survived by: her children, Joseph Francis Sappington (Sandy Murrey) and Susan Elizabeth Sappington (Scott Uram); her granddaughters, Amanda Helen Drogemuller and Samantha Elizabeth Hayes (Clay Hayes); her sister Theresa Louise Scharper (Richard Scharper); and her nieces and nephews, Kathleen MacDonald, David Macek, Nancy Scheitlin, Carol Hagenbach, Paul Macek and Katherine Nicholson.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Maryland SPCA in Jean's honor.
