He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Ashkenes and Miriam Ashkenes; and his brother Ira Ashkenes. He is survived by: his wife Kathie S. Ashkenes; his children, Alex Ashkenes (Carrie Lyle) and Sada Jones (Dustin Jones); his brother Alan Ash; and his grandchildren, Olive Ashkenes, Ivy Ashkenes and Skyla Jones.
